Hi Roy. I'm having trouble posting a picture when I respond to a thread topic. Could you add the "Upload Image" option to the reply window? I can't understand why this won't work? IMG SRC="http://skyscraper.fortunecity.com/tyrell/769/jarjar.jpg" I removed the <> from the beginning and end so you can see the html I'm try to get a pic from. It works on other forums. So I assume it's got something to do with your software here. Thanks, ScottA iamsba@aol.com

Nope. still no good Trav. The fact that the forum software displays a window tells me that it is attempting to display a picture. But for some strange reason it can't find the peoper link info. An "Upload Image" option for reply's would really be awesome. I rarely see people reply with pictures. I bet they have the same problem I'm having. ScottA

You can!?. What the hell. That's weird. All I get is a window with an X in it. This is strange. ScottA

could it be a browser problem?

I've got AOL5, IE4, And NS4.7 and none of these browsers show that picture. I've never NOT been able to see pictures before. But I do recall someone saying that they changed a certain setting for remote links. Unfortunately I can't remember what setting it was. Thanks for the help Trav. I'd still like very much to see that "Upload Image" option added to the reply options window here. Remote linking to pictures is yet another problem to deal with. ScottA

FortuneCity stopped allowing remote image linking.

can you guys see this dancing coolspot? I can. So the problem seems to be related to my browser displaying files that are linked to my own Fortunecity server. This image is on a geocities server. ScottA

Scott, your last one worked too (singing dot man). Did it work for you?
Traveler posted Tue, 25 April 2000 at 9:16 PM
That is weird.
ScottA posted Tue, 25 April 2000 at 9:23 PM
OK. Thanks again Traveler. It seems when I post something from my Fortunecity server everyone but me can see it ;-). I'll use my Geocities account for doing this. But they'll probably remove me once they find out I'm doing this. Grrrrrr! If you can get the "Upload Image " option included in the reply window. It would be a nice feature for us. But at least I know what's going on now. Thanks Guys. ScottA

Traveler, if you did what I did and pasted the url to Scot's pic, viewed it and then came back here, the image is in the cache and that's why it showed up the second time around. It took me forever to figure that one out the first time it happened. Gail

I can see your last file. I have times when I'd like to post a pic on a rely too, but I'm on servers that don't allow the image linking myself. I wish the reply form would let us use a pic off the hard drive, rather than a link. Of course, if it did, there would always be people who abused it instead of using it to help

I have Netscape 4. All I got was a small image that looks like a broken stained-glass window. That is Netscape standard for I can't find this embedded image". If I right click it and then click "view image", all I get is an advert page from fortunecity. It contains a button "click to view image", but if I click it, I merely get the advert page again. I get sick of those turdid restrictions on linking in from outside bypassing their expletive-deleted precious advertisements.
