Hello :o) Well, there is a link for a great tutorial here: http://www.horseless-headsmen.co.uk/HHTuts.htm PBooost is a really wonderful product, I cannot Poser without it, and believe me, if I can use it, everyone can ;o) Elaine

Just wondering about PBooost. Does it work with Windows 2000 Pro and Poser 5? None of the documentation or requirements spell it out. Bruce

Version 1.3 doesn't work properly with Poser5 but the new version which is just round the corner will fully support poser5 including compressed files. Win2kpro has some issues in that PBooost cannot swap the banks when poser is running on certain configurations. There's a compatability test program on Hogwardens site to see if it'll work fully on your system.c1rcle posted Fri, 03 January 2003 at 1:48 PM
I should have said v1.3 doesn't see all the folders in the Poser5 runtime if you nest them further than the default & doesn't see the compressed files. Version1.4 will fix both these issues, it also integrates closer with CorrectReference which is a big plus :)

I have XP. I have to close Poser for PBoost to move things around. If I run Poser in 2000 compatibility, Pboost lets me move folder around but everything runs a whole lot slower. Hmmmm, just keep it in mind.

jetson have you used CorrectReference at all? It might fix the problem & allow you to use PBooost full speed :)

I'm running PBooost under Win2K and at first everything was fine; I could even switch banks while Poser 4 was running, for a few tries. Then for some reason, it wouldn't do that; I had to exit Poser whenever I wanted to switch banks; inconvenient, but workable. Over the last few days, however, PBoost won't switch banks at all, not even when Poser is not running at all. I got CorrectReference and have been trying it out, but the problem still has not been fixed. I've spent a lot of time sorting out files into different banks, and it'd be a major inconvenience to go back to using Poser without PBooost. Has anybody else encountered this problem and solved it, or developed a workaround? I notice that somebody mentioned in an earlier thread that some configurations of Win2K do work correctly with PBooost; anybody know which ones do so? Thanks, Guy Hoyle

It's FAT32 under win2k that causes the biggest problems for PBooost, NTFS works perfectly. Fire off an email to Hogwarden as I'm not 100% sure what the problem here is.

I'll contact Hogwarden, then, as I'm running NTFS already. Thanks! Guy
