Hi. I have checked allt he tutorials here, and have found nothing to help. I am trying to light the images before render, to help it look more realistic, before takening into post work. I have a few light sets from the free section, that help, but i have never been that good with lights, even in highschool. :)

Here's a thread about creating volumetric lighting effects using semi-transparent Poser props.MindsEyes posted Mon, 06 January 2003 at 2:09 AM

the dragon looks softer than the rider, is what im trying to say. i put harder lights on the beast, and the rider gets too dark.

Lighting isn't my strongpoint, but don't forget to try some of the alternatives. To brighten figures that are too dark, try setting the ambience to a dark grey instead of black in the materials settings. Also try changing the colour settings or using a different texture. Don't forget you can make spotlights point at any object (I usually use an invisible 1 polygon target prop which I move around until the light points where I want it) and you can change the intensity and radius of the spotlight. It's worth reading the manual on what the spotlight dials do. You can harden the shadows, soften them etc.

DAZ has several excellent and easy to do tutorials on lighting in the Arcana section. Also, kirisute put dragon lights in the free section a few weeks ago after I asked about them on a wishlist, might be helpful too. Do a search for kirisute. And do try the tutorials because once you learn how to do your own lighting you'll rarely have a problem getting the light the way you want it and I found it beneficial to learn just what each light is for. The link is for my first result using one of the tutorials. I was very happy with it.FlyByNight
