What's going behind the locked hangar doors of Groingrinder Aero Labs.

I knew it!!!!

Cool, I just started at Pilot school. I'll fly it even if it is a prototype. Great job.

ttops posted Wed, 08 January 2003 at 2:47 PM

Can I have a shot too?

GROINGRINDER posted Wed, 08 January 2003 at 2:58 PM

Thanks ICM graphics. I have always wanted to fly, but the closest I have is gotten is Janes WW2 Fighters. LOL Ttops if people want the model after I have the bugs out and textures done I will see if somebody will host the file for download for me. Now I have to find a lab coat that fits Mike or Mike 2 so I can make my technicians look appropriately technical.

I meant could I have a shot at flying it too; it's getting harder every day getting access to area 51 you know. But I will also gladly host it for you. Just post me an IM when you're ready.

I'd love to learn how to fly one day. I'm jealous of your pilot school ICM.

Very interesting shape! Love the Groingrinder Aero Labs idea!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

i can host it if you want. it certainly is worth hosting anyway

GROINGRINDER posted Thu, 09 January 2003 at 4:53 AM

Thanks Incarnadine and paul carduner I will let you know about the hosting as soon as I get the bugs worked out.

Nice job, GG. If I may, I just had a vision of a different backround (a la Warner Brothers space scene) with Marvin the Martian standing in front of it. Don't know if everyone would remember the one cartoon where Bugs stops Marvin from blowing up the earth and the spaceships are tied up on the edge. Hmmm.........

Thanks BOOMER I don't remember that episode, but I do remember Marvin. There has to be a model of him around somewhere.

So... I knew lifter technology just needed further development. Aparently Groingrinder is ahead in the game... I bet this is where he got started from... ;) http://jnaudin.free.fr/html/lifters.htm Interesting stuff if you ask me. I think the other site with this cool stuff is at www.tdimension.com.

If I remember correctly, there should be one of Marvin at 3DCafe.

Interesting pauljs75. I have seen that page and am waiting for them to build one that can lift its own power supply. Right now it is little more than a kite.

Ya gotta admit though, it's funny how sometimes imagination and reality aren't too far apart. Your ship looks like it would be based on such technology. And it even seems like it would be plausible using further materials development, being if your ship were molded out of a formed ceramic/alloy composite with the right magnetic properties... (Even your color would be right for a bismuth based composite.) Heheh... It couldn't be too far off. ;) Speaking of things that looks like something that I've seen before on renderosity, has anyone seen the Dodge Tomahawk concept vehicle? I swear that I've seen that a couple months ago in a rendering somewhere. Makes one wonder who influences who sometimes. :)
