Does anybody now how, or where I can find a website that tells me how to do special effects with Photoshop. I have 5.5. I want to do things like gradients on text, and other cool stuff to it.

Tho photoshop is well known for it's pitiful text handling capabilities, special effects are easy. Put your text in and locate it where you want it and at the size you want it, then any of the filters you have, including eye candy or anything else can be applied to the text. Remember the text is applied as a seperate layer, and will remain a seperate layer until you merge them.

Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.

If you want tutorials on how to do text effects go over to: http://www.ex.ac.uk/~jastaple/photoshop/searchframe.html Type in the word "text" in the search box, select "keword" in second box, leave third box unchecked, and click on the SEARCH button. You will get a list of different type effects and the site where it is located. By the way: I found this site from the "Web Resources" section in the side bar ----> I'm not putting you down for asking a question, just trying to point out that there is a real wealth of resources in the various sections of this forum. It took me quite a while just to realize that they were there, too. -Jim Moore
