Today, I downloaded a file that was supposed to be a new texture file for Arduino's Eve. I got the image on my screen, but was not able to save it in any kind of file that I could open later. I've not had this problem before with textures. I could always just save them as a jpeg and use them. I have not been able to do that with this file. What am I doing wrong. This was BigRedKane's texture file for Arduino's Eve.

Maybe it was corrupted? Try downloading it again.

I used the freestuff link and was able to right-click and save the image normally. May be a problem with your browser. Make sure the whole thing is loaded before you try to save. It's a big file, almost 3MB and it took a looong time to load, but I'm on 56K. If you can't save it from your browser, let it load and then then do a search for it in your internet temporary files (probably somewhere like c:windowstemporary internet files...) on a PC at least. I found it there as ArtistArticle1146[1].jpg. Hope you get it, looks like a nice texture.

lmckenzie, it's a beautiful texture. That's why I wanted it. I'm on a Mac G4, so some of what you suggested may not apply. It is a big file (I'm on 35K). The temporary file bit may still work, if I can figure out what to look for. May be something.jpg. Thanks for your response.

Could be it's timing out somehow before fully loading. I know Internet Explorer won't activate the 'save as' option until it's all there. Perhaps someone in the Mac forum can clue you in on where the browser cache is or barring that just search the whole drive. If that doesn't work, I'd try emailing the guy and see if he can give you a direct link. Worst case scenario, I suppose you can just do screen captures scroll and snap 'til you've got the whole image and then stitch it back together in a paint program - bit tricky with overlap but better than nothing.
