I finally decided to upgrade to Poser 5. Does the P4 EULA allow me to give my copy of p4 to my daughter?

I would hold on to P4 until you get adjusted to P5. It can be a bit if a ride at first. No idea on the Eula.

I almost got rid of my P4 when I got P5, and can only say that it would have been a fatal error! Even side-stepping all other P5 'issues', it takes a while to get used to P5. If you're doing any kind of serious work, you might find it best to keep doing most stuff in P4 while you explore P5 (and wait for more patches to appear).

those aguments aside to answer your question. If you paid the upgrade price for P5 then legaly you cannot giveaway or sell your P4 as an upgrade is not legally a full version (even though you need no P4 code to run it)your copy of P5 is considered an extention of your P4 license. If you bought the full version OTOH, then you can get a license transfer from CL for your copy of P4.

I was all ready to take my P4 off the system when I got V3. I installed her into one of my extra libraries in my copy of P5, and I couldn't get morph injection to work. I opened P4, tried it, saved her as a new character, and then opened her just fine in P5. Glad I kept it not! It probably is time to get rid of my P2 installation though...

Pretty sure wdupre's right, but when you're totally comfortable with P5, you might try e-mailing CL about it. Given some of CL's past actions, as well as the PR hit they took with the buggy initial release of P5, they might be amenable to a transfer within a family. The worst case is that they say no...
