Are you are probably aware, this site has been getting slower & slower over the last few months as it (and the sister site) have been outgrowing the server. We are putting in a request to get a new box, just for these two sites to get it back up to speed. Cross your Poser's fingers!! For the curious types, the two combined sites are serving out 180 Gig/month (!!) in bandwidth and are using 4.2 Gig of disk space. fur

Roy is right and let's also add, that even after the purge of old members that no longer visited the site, we are almost at 15,000 active members!!!! Thanks to everyone of you that has been spreading the word about our site and way we are trying to do!! Let's keep trying to make this site one of the best Communities on the Internet!!! Jack

yes, get more and more members to join, and the site will slow down even more, and then we'll be forced to add more hardware :-)

aha! no problemo! ::promptly opens a dozen simultaneous connections to renderosity, instead of the usual 1 and 1/2:: that close enough? :)

heyas; mySQL just self-destructed, and (as a bonus) also just sent me a notice to check my email validity, as you will start deleting stuff on monday, january 31. does this mean we get a new server now?? ::looks hopeful:: :)
