Hi, Has anyone encountered this problem and do you have a solution? I set up a light for a scene. Let's say a simple spotlight. I go into the Light Lab and check ON Color: Uniform. I leave Use Gel unchecked. Everything is fine and I can continue with my scene and save as normal. BUT, when I open the saved scene, the lighting has changed! I go into Light Lab and see that Bryce has turned on USE GEL! I can uncheck it and then the lighting returns to normal. But after I save, when I reopen the document, the same thing happens. I'm using "Bryce 5.0.1 Build" (That's what is says in the INFO box) which I got from the Corel Web site (MAC version). Should I dump my preferences or something? If anyone has a clue about this, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!

It's a known bug. I only seem to have it happen if I set one light with a gel. I then have to change back all the others after the next save. This is something we hope will be fixed with the next version.
Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Try setting the offecding light material to a flat white. 100% diffuse with no other mat settings. Then go back into the light editor and turn off the gel. This has worked for me in the past.

I had the same problem, thought I had to read the manual. Gels add to render time too, so you don't want them if you don't need them. Will this work for colored lighting too?
