Be absolutly sure the colors for the highlights are PURE black. Set the RGB's for 0 each. Do this manually and see if it solves the problem. Also - make sure the trans map is a greyscale image. even a slight variation in the shading can cause this.

The formal dress has some parts which aren't visible normaly. Sorry, I don't have Poser at hand at the moment. So I can't tell you the name of those parts. You have to set ALL material parts to 100 % transparency! Hope, this helps. - wal

Doesn't the formal dress have an underskirt that has to be separately mapped? Seems like I remember someone asking what the extra part on the tex map for that dress was and someone said it was an underskirt. Maybe that's what's showing. Melanie

Open the transMap in a graphics program. Run the dropper over the black area. If it is anything greater than 0,0,0 (absolute black)there will be this ghost effect. The less black -the more visible.

I had a similar problem when making a mesh version of the unitard. You have to make certain that the "Transparency Falloff" slider is set to 0% otherwise Poser will attempt to "blend" the edges into the background

For some reason, my transparency falloff always defaults at about 6%. Did MetaCreations do that for a reason, or is it just a goof on the part of the program? I've always wondered about that. Melanie
