I have never used the Poser animals before but when I tried to get the cat to walk, the walk designer only moves the back legs. I pointed the designer to the cat's .cr2 file - is there something I'm missing? If there is a freebie '4-legged animal walk set' please let me know. Thanks.

heyas; the walk designer only works with upright, bipedal creatures.

If you find or manage to create a good walk cycle, you can save it as a pose file into the Walk Designer folder, then access it from the Walk Designer panel the next time you launch Poser. Make sure you turn off IK on the front limbs.

And no, I don't know of any free walk cycles for the cat. Horses, yes, and even the dog, but not the cat. Although I'll admit that the dog's walk-cycle doesn't look bad on the cat, after some adjustment. Unfortunately, it's by Debbie and I don't know where you can find it any more.

Credo sells several animation collections for the Poser animals, including the cat.

I fiddled with the dog's walk-cycle a bit (particularly the hind legs) and adapted it to the wolf.

I read this and as I was about to start learning my way around Poser's animation capabilities I desided to start with the cat. I've put together some very basic sequences- walking and running- but they're not yet Walk Designer ready. Once I've figured that part out (which seems to require a 30-frame animation, not the 6- and 13- frame pose files I've done so far) then I'll post them into Free Stuff. The pose files will be up just as soon as I finish uploading them.
