Hmm... I'm thinking after the movie (horrible though it may have been) that Angelina Jolie is now the new "face" for Lara Croft; any Lara should probably look at least vaguely similiar to her... Apart from that, pretty good set-up. Tint and mirror the glasses and it'll look pretty much like her ;)

I don't agree. That's like saying every image of James Bond should look like Sean Connery. I think the idea is to get the essence of the Lara character, and this image does a good job at it.

Naaaahhhhhhhhhhh.......... ;] If that were the case, all of Core-Design's offcial live models would have to look like Jolie. And so would the revised character in Angel of Darkness. Pretty nice work, Mason. There's something that's not quite clicking on the character, but since I can't put my finger on what it is... I'll leave at "Nice work".

Obviously this version isn't based on Angelina Jolie from Lara Croft Tomb Raider.
It's based on Jenna Jameson from Lara Croft Boob Raider.

I'm not going to say that the breasts are inhumanly large... but they appear to be bigger than her head. Each. Or is that Ouch? Brycetech has a new braided hair model for V3... only $8 and it appears to be very poseable. it might be a bit longer than Croft's. People made reference to Rapunzel, but it isn't THAT long. One thing which might make the character more realistic would be to tone down the shine on the guns. If I was skulking through a dimly-lit tomb or dungeon or enemy stronghold, the last thing I'd give my opponents is a bright clear target! Carolly

In fact, both her head and feet appear to small compared to her breasts. Is this what you meant, or did you just set the focal lens of your camera to a low value ? Compiler

Maybe my testosterone level is flagging but, choke, Lara is a Ferrari. Those headlights belong on a Mack truck. Take 'em down a couple of cup sizes. Also, personally, I don't like the lace thingy. Somehow a bustier doesn't seem right for the action setting. Bring back that turquoise top that hugged her curves so nicely. To heck with Angelina, this face is perfectly gorgeous, don't change it!! As for the guns, the firearms that is, they actually look too flat and white to me. I'd prefer a nice shiny chrome reflective finish. Lara doesn't skulk, she struts. The flash of her 'er guns strikes fear in the hearts of evildoers everywhere. I really like her.

Great render. Love the angle-shot. Like the face, the hair, and most of the accessories. Don't know enough about guns to comment on their coloring. The only constructive critisism I can add is please, please, make her chest smaller. Speaking from experience, a chest of that size just doesn't work in an outfit like that (they ain't got antigrav units). And on a practical side, yes, they do get in the way of the type of acrobatics Lara's known for, making such moves downright painful!

She ain't gonna be able to fit in most tombs let along raid them! Darling, as a big breasted woman myself I can assure you that they would be a SERIOUS liability for a woman of action - black eyes every time you jump! Great piccy otherwise though.

I think the problem is that she is more volupuos than athletic. She's got thighs tah can crack open wallnuts - which is not a bad thing - Try malin the legs slimmer and longer. on and lowwer the breasts of course. May I suggst making her slimer overall- which will accentualuate tehbreasts even the teh breast are smaller. And do not forget the narrow waist. Both Angelina Jolie and Classic Lara are comparatively slim. (Personally I perfer the "classic Lara" over the movie version. but chaque quien a chez gout

Sure : "a chacun ses gouts" :-) I just noticed the bag on her shoulders : it doesn't fit very well : it seems to be flying somewhat. I wonder why I didn't notice it the first time. May be my attention was drawn on something more obvious in the same area ? ;-o) Compiler

anyone who has played the tomb raider games knows lara has a huge rack.much bigger than Angelina Jolie. Jenna Jameson's size would be just about right if you're keeping true to the game figure.in this case though the body is too thick.needs to lose about 20 pounds.

To settle this once and for all, here's the official Eidos link for the new Lara Croft game, which contains at least one picture, probably several more.Mason posted Sat, 18 January 2003 at 1:18 PM

Sorry, gonna have to bump 'em back up about 15-20%. Don't you just love being batted back and forth :-) Actually, I think it's the flat black material that doesn't pick up the highlights on those contours but what do I know - she's still beautiful. Ditch the revolver though, definitely not enough firepower. Think cannons, bazookas ...oops, I was talking about the weapons wasn't I? Here is an amusing (and perhaps insightful) little essay (link) on: "...why are all these guys willing to do something as arguably "wussy" as pretend to be a woman when they could be playing as a some kind of hunky he-man character that catered to their ego?""Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance." - H.
