Where can I get a trial version of mimic for poser?

Little_Dragon posted Sat, 18 January 2003 at 3:57 PM

A trial version isn't available any more, to the best of my knowledge. LIPSinc took the demo off its website shortly before selling Mimic to DAZ.

You can download some sample files (poses), generated by marcob, from Free Stuff, however.

Mimic's chief competition, textPuppet, does have a demo available.

Unfortunately, I don't think one is available anymore. When Daz bought Mimic, the Lipsinc website pretty much ceased to exist. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

I think that Daz is handling the sales for Mimic, might be a good idea to check there. I can't honestly say that I have ever seen a demo though; not to say that there isn't one. It is, however, incredible. One of the best deals going IMHO.

(wow, everyone jumped all over that one, check the time stamp)

Add me to the mimics. It is such a fun program. I love talking into the mike and then setting it up and then hearing and seeing poser figures speak with my voice or someone elses.

silver - you're gonna set your animations up in the new Animation Section of the Free Stuff, right?

There is an online text to pose generator, if you can wait until Mimic availability. Although I have to say, I like Mimic too. A quicky done when the DAZ gorilla came out, I had to do it! :) (260kb) http://www.thedarkzone.freeserve.co.uk/damn_dirty_human.avi

raven, I got an error when following your link to your animation. Could there be a subfolder that the .AVI file is in? Ernyoka1, Yours worked fine. ;-)

Ooops! Sorry about that. For some reason .avi became .AVI during upload. Anyway I changed it and my link should work now. Cheers!
