Over the past few days, I have prepared a Victoria 2 version with grouped Morph Targets for Poser 5. I am planning to offer it as a free download in the FreeStuff section.

I have managed to shrink the file size down to 400 kByte by using Patch Maker. The patch will only work on the original Victoria.cr2 (I recommend backing the file up before patching).

If anybody is interested in beta-testing this before I do a general release, please let me know and I will send him/her an URL for the file download. (Looking for 10 beta testers approx...)

puzzled Very little feedback so far -- is it possible that nobody is really interested in grouping Vic2 for Poser 5?

Anyway, if anybody else wants in on the action -- send me an Instant Message and I'll reply with an URL for the file.

This is a bad idea. The only difference between Vic 2 and Vic 1 is the morph targets. If you try to distribute this, you will be distributing the morphs themselves, and in violation of DAZ's copyright. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this before... The only way to legally distribute this is if it is encoded to something V2 specific, such as the obj for V2P4.

Hrms, just noticed your patchmaker comment. Well, there's a problem... like many people, I resaved my Vic2 on top of itself with the textures applied. So I could not use your patcher. Odds are, many people cannot. About the only V2 file nobody changes would be the obj file for V2P4...

I am not going to distribute any proprietary geometry, that's what Patch Maker is for. Of course you are right, the patch will only work with an unmodified Victoria 2.cr2 -- but I see no other way to implement this. Any suggestions are most welcome, of course.
