Dont' know if this has been done before.... If so, I beg your collective pardon.... :) I put together a file that uses two props and the "point at" command to create a halfway decent effect with chains or ropes following a target. It works better than my attempts at getting a good result using IK or EMC.... See the attached graphic. The little yellow box is a "gravity" prop which makes the chain dip appropriately, rather than following the hand in a straight line. There is a second prop, hidden inside Homer's hand, which is being followed by the rest of the chain. I have explained this badly.... Sorry. The graphic may explain it better than I do. If this is useful to anyone, I can e-mail the file on request. Err, it uses Scoopey's 25 link chain. I am wondering if anyone could create a Python script to automate the setup. I guess I should talk to Okham.... :)

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
