Where can I get some good star wars type ships. Big ones and fighters? I need them for poser. If I have to bring them into poser from another program what do I need to do that? And how do I do it?

Attached Link: http://www.3dcafe.com

3dCafe has a few, they'll either be in DXF or 3ds format, both of which will import into Poser via File>Import (then choose the object type) Hope this helps! --silver

No better site for 3D Star Wars ships than Sci-Fi 3D.

The majority of meshes are available in .3ds and/or Lightwave formats, which can be imported by various versions of Poser. Avoid the .max versions unless you have a copy of 3D Studio Max lying about for conversion purposes.

Thx little dragon. Just one question. How exactly do I make the stuff go into poser? I downloaded some .3ds stuff but I thing most of the maps (whatever that is) was lost.

You might have to have new textures, or remap the existing ones. Most of the textures won't work once the model is in Poser. If you're comfortable remapping objects, try UV Mapper (www.uvmapper.com), it will allow you to remap the textures to the model when it's in Poser format.

And I'm told dxf files will not accept textures in Poser.

No, the whole thing doesn't show up in the document window, let alone in rendering.
