Hello everyone i am a new user to photoshop. I have just recently insalled 7.0, i was wandering what all i can do with this program. and since i have a wacom tab would it be smart to go ahead an re-install onto my comp so it would be compatible with it and make everything easier to draw with instead of using a mouse?

you'll find the tablet is a great asset!
as for what PS can do... visit Adobe.com and go through the "features" ...

maybe the manual can help, it gives a good outline of what can be done.

BTW the teacher should only have done that for the schools computer (unless he/she purchased a license for you too)

Back when you were " wandering what all i can do with this program" why not just ask the "teacher" who "just handed" you the disk with no manuals?

Now now people: we don't know it wasn't the truth. Let us assume it was.
