Tried to come up with an original idea. render was 18 hous at 36 rpp. Coffee cup models made by me in wings 3d. The only post work was the text in the lower right side. Please tell me what you think.

Great render, I'm away to get a cup right now. I can smell the coffee just looking at this image.

This render time buisness never ceases to amaze me - bit blurry but nice.

Yea and the writing broke the "no postwork" rule too...But it's ok, I think we're allowed 8 "final" renders lol.

lol I'll take out the writing. Used DOF and soft shadows with about 8 radial lights.

I think it is a very original idea and great modelling.

I like it a lot. And, yes, why write on it? It's beautiful even without the explanation.

I like writing! It helps us to understand what the artist was thinking off as he/she created the piece. eg: If Max had put, 'God! I hate mornings! Bloody making coffee all the time!' That would have put a different slant on the whole piece. Regards The Bryster

chuckle I favor tea over coffee, but I admit I'm never ready to face the day until I've had my caffeine fix. Terrific render. If you wanted to move the text, I don't think a band of black along the bottom of the pic where the text could go would hurt anything. You still have several more 'final' renders, after all. :) Lin
