Gamma World... now there's a name I haven't heard in awhile... shudders in recollection... Cool prop! I have a suggestion, based on a character I used to have... A very "hair dryer" looking gun that shoots a paralyzation beam, ammo is a 6-pack disk that fits vertically onto the side. Now if someone could model a 5'x5' plant with a body-wide mouth and two beady evil eyes and 6 whipping tentacles...

Very cool! Gamma World was a lot of fun. Now, that was a looooong time ago. I hear that someone bought the rights to it and is going to release a d20 version. Jay

I hope they give it some play balance. The original was hopelessly unbalanced.

lhiannan:
Anton Kisiel's The Plant comes close to your description, although it's missing a couple of tentacles (and I'm not sure about the eyes).
You can download it at Fantasy 3D. Ajax has an EasyPose update in Free Stuff.

Wow! I just picked up the old boxed set of GW and it came with the original rule book along with the 1983 editions. I never realized that it was written in 1978. BTW for those of you who are interested, the Wizards of the Coast (www.wizards.com) is rereleasing the GW stuff in a book for the Alternity and D20 stuff that they have out.

Actually, Swords and Sorcery is releasing the d20 Gamma World system. Swords and Sorcery is the d20/D&D branch of White Wolf, who made Vampire: The Masquerade and Ars Magica. The Alternity GW, sometimes called 5th edition GW, is a joke and a big mess and terrible and totally misses the intended feel and style of the original game and doesn't deserve the name.

Oddly enough the D20 S&S closely resembles the D&D stuff. Go figure...
