Subject: Poser 4 morph targets problems

I'm using Poser 4 and have recently tried creating my own morph targets with 3DSMax. I have no problems importing the object files but when I apply the morph in Poser a small touch of the dial makes my figure shatter in a thousand pieces. Does anyone recognize this problem?

Yeah, this sounds TOO familiar :o) One thing that may fix it is to import the obj into Poser, just as an obj, then export it out again (with NOTHING checked at the export screen) and THEN load it into Poser again. Most of the time it works. It can also sometimes be becourse Poser models are really really TINY compared to MAX models, so if you haven't rescaled it to fit, it can get so huge that it goes boom.

ggcolvin, I have max too (v3.1) and I end up making most of my morphs for poser in Anim8or (see link). It's cool and it's free and pretty easy to use. I can now get fairly decent morphs out of max, but it's a helluva hassle at times, especially if you use the max2obj plug-in, which has never worked properly for me. I export everything from max as 3ds. Anim8or is a lot easier. mac

Thanks for the tips. I'll definately try anim8or (as it's free). If I get a good solution I'll post it here. Thanks again. Glenn
