I have been trying to download the cake in the freesite...when I go to the site it brings me back to your front page...I see by the number of downloads that others aren't having a problem and wonder if you or anyone else can tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks for your time JP

Hi. I'm not quite sure what your problem is? The cake is at the last page of the Static props. At the top of each page there is some naviganion links. I had another visitor who had overlooked those. That might be the case here as well? I guess I better make those links more visible G Hope that helps ~TrekkieGrrrl

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

try this one and scroll to the very bottom of the pageTrekkieGrrrl posted Mon, 27 January 2003 at 4:45 AM
This sounds strange indeed. The message you get is when remote linking is used, and that is not the case here. I just tried downloading the cake to make sure there was nothing wrong with it, and it landed right on my desktop with a splosh ;o)
I can only agree to Tasquah's answer. If you download it from anywhere else than THIS page, it won't work.
Hope that helps.

I just tried the link in post # 6 and it worked fine. It may be as TigerCub suggested.

Can you download the tire swing then? It is in the Morphable Props section and is also stored at the Tripod server. The Wiener - and almost all other props are indeed on a different server, and in time the cake and the swing will be there too if people are having too much problems with getting them off Tripod sigh It is really weird. I can download the file myself, but if I'm the ONLY one who gan download those files, it could be caused by a cookie or something. Justpat (and others), if you still can't get the cake, please IM me with your e-mail adress and I will send the cake to you :o)

waves 'hi!' to Ernyoka I DL'ed the cake yesterday with no problem, but I somehow had a blind spot where the page navigation was, at least the first time I visited your site. Maybe the type used could be brighter or something? As always, thank you for the wonderful, imaginative props :)

waves back to Patricia I have now made the links bigger. Will someone please pop by and tell me if they're easier to find now?

Justpat, are you using a firewall when downloading ? I sometimes have problems with my Norton Firewall when downloading, and I have to cut it off to download some specific pages or to access some sites (especially Lycos hosted sites). May be this will give a clue ? Compiler.

Just to clarify: I got the cake, downloaded from germany with Netscape 7 - no problems. The screenshot above is no error message it's the window that pops up when you download something and your browser asks you what to do with it.
