Lamberto Tedaldi (Officine Pixel) with a little aid by Andrea Mazzone (Andygraph) has begun the development of "VisualFace", a software for the expressions recording from audio/video sequences. It is designed to speed up the animation process. You may import video footage as reference source, then you can change expressions over time by moving morph targets sliders while the video source is running, "VisualFace" record cursors movements. The result is saved in pz2 file format. note: It's not possible for this version make mocap face in automatic mode but only in manual mode. Beta Features 01) Create pz2 file from avi(win) and quicktime(mac). 02) Morph Target Window to create your morph preview series in order to recall them and to use them through slides and have a preview of the event (mocap face) in real time. 03) Mixer interface for reproduce the expressions of a face through slides (you can add, give a name, change name and delete the slide) 04) it's possible change the friction of the slides 05) change the velocity of video/audio source 06) optional delay while recording (to have the time of see the expression before record it) 07) you can change the FPS 24, 25, 30 or other 08) a control volume for video source 09) for PC/MAC 10) More... if you have any new possible request for add one or more advices please write here .. ;-) ( sorry but automatic mode or 2d tracking is not possible as advice and i can't send a screenshot for now ) Lamberto Tedaldi Andrea Mazzone

this sounds like a very interesting project. animation has always been my primary point of interest with poser. thank you for your initative on this.

Since you're doing a Mac version, PLEASE make it 9.x compatable. But it sounds fascinating, and yep, eminently useful for animators.

Maybe the ability to display the sound waves as well as the visuals?
Before they made me they broke the mold!
