I was experimenting making some DTE noises when the above pic happened. the thing is, I applied a weird reflection map and just happened to get that werid effect, with a little tweaking of course. Sorta looks like frozen lava underwater doesn;t it?

Hmm, can you post a blackish/blue dried lava/obsidian version of that?

very cool mat! This would look good as a set of consecutive vertical panels along a corridor wall.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

A little color change and some specular twist lead to some rather nice cooling lava! (Thanks to flak for the suggestion)

Bryce is full of those happy accidents and this was a good one!

I thought the first one looked very underwater also. The second one is cool too. Of course, now you have to make a picture with them.

madmax_br5 posted Wed, 29 January 2003 at 3:28 PM

I don;t know how good the actual mat is, because it is applied to a high-res terrain with a fractal pattern as a grayscale map....so it might look crappy. I don't know, I'll try it out when i get home.

catlin_mc posted Wed, 29 January 2003 at 3:36 PM

Don't matter madmax would still like to try, they really do look good. Make an image and show us what they look like in use. Catlin

definately cool. Both are good but I think I prefer the first G. loooks like a really good base for a natural look. If you make both available or requestable maybe thatll work. Jess
