This poem was very hard to write I don't think I'll be at chat tonight... Sleep sister sleep. Your travelin' days aren't done Though fiery feathers earthward fell; Like waxen wings undone. Sleep sister, sleep. The Nation weeps for you; In every heart's the memory; Of a smiling, waving crew. Sleep sister, sleep. Your mission did not end; Though now you sleep beneath the waves; You'll challenge stars again. Sleep sister, sleep; You knew your course so well; For twenty years you cruised the skies; Before your feathers fell. Sleep sister, Sleep; You were the first, our pride; Where starships seemed a routine feat; You proved to be their guide. Sleep sister, sleep; For once again you'll rise; You'll find your way back home again; A gem gleaming in our eyes.
