I am trying to import a Poser 4 figure and texture as object in Bryce. I have followed the Poser 4 manual pages 328-331. The texture applies to the figure but is misaligned. My Bryce is an old version. Am I doing something wrong, do I need a patch, or do I need an upgrade?

You don't mention which version of Bryce it is you are using, 2 or 3? I'm sure there are a couple of tutorials for Bryce 3 and how to import Poser textures so have a look here.http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Gallery/2780/linkstutorial.html In any case, you'd be better off asking this in the Bryce forum.

What I'm told you do, is to go into the DTE and rotate the texture 180 degrees along, if I remember right, the y axis. It's either x or y, and I think it's y. This problem has come up before. But Bryce 3 isn't the best version to try to import textures. If you export the figure as an LWO, it retains the seperate selections. What I do is import the figure, then I apply an overall texture, usually just a flesh color, then I go through and seperately select each object such as eyes, pupils, lips, hair, clothes, etc. and texture those seperately in Bryce 3. It's work, but it seems to get good results for me

Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.

Thank you so much. For any other beginners who may see this subject thread, the 180 degree adjustment to the X-axis in the texture editor ("M" mode when mesh is selected) fixed the problem. For some reason I was applying the textures flipped from the way I intended.
