Just a special render for all you Faerie/pixie and general fantasy folks out there. I wwas going to submit this to Willow's Victoria contest, but decided to share instead. I actually did 3 renders. 1 in Poser 4 1 in Bryce 4 1 in Carrara (I'm still working on this one) Poser has done the best render so far. Though the water drops are pasted in from the Bryce render, the rest is Poser. We know Poser can't do reflections and refraction. ;-) Now if Poser 5 puts in a Ray Trace engine, wow! Enjoy. James

James, Beautiful work as ever:) Why did you choose Carrara as your 3D modelling software? What made you purchase it over other 3D software on the market? reasons...motivations... How have you found it in general use? Easy...not easy...etc I hope you don't mind me firing these questions at you, but I want to start moving into doing more 3D modelling and I would like some advice before I buy anything or maybe try the demo. Your feedback would be really valued as I rate you as and artist and practitioner in 2D and 3D. Best regards, Tribe.

Tribe, I got Carrara for the main reason that I could upgrade from my Infini-D for a very cheap price. I think Carrara has the potential (Maybe Adobe will improve on it) But it has one of the hardest learning curves I've seen in a 3D package so far. The other reason is I'm on a MAC, there aren't too may inexpensive 3d Modeling packages for the mac at all. :( I can't shell out thousands of dollars for a program. I'm bearly above poverty. I was luck enough to save my pennies to get my G4. (also got a good client that shelled out the bucks on a project so I could). I've noticed that several main people here really like 3DMAX and Rhino. These come up alot as what is being used for modeling. Hope this helps. James
