Running Photoshop 7, making an avatar, 112x106 pixels but alas even though the writing is on 72size, you cannot even see what is being written. HELP please?

a size 72 font on a 112x106 avatar... ummm, wqell, one letter should take up about 10 of them avatars... make sure of several things, like the colour of the font, that the font is properly installed, that you're putting the font on the uppermost layer, and that (at that size) the font itself has no antialiasing on it (meaning sharp, smooth or crisp, set the value to none instead). at that size bro, your font shouldnt be any bigger than 10 or so, and even then....

Check the dots per inch of your image... the point size of the type is related. 36 point type on a 72 dpi image becomes 4.32 point when the image is changed to 600 dpi and 14400 point at 6 dpi. Also, you do know you can type in a number larger than 72?

If you have to use a very small font size, set the text anti-aliasing to "none" - this will produce chunky type, but it will be far more readable.
