Is it possible to batch render different cameras in Vue's Batch Render application? I've looked for a way, but there is little documentation. If it doesn't, that would be a great option to add. It would also be nice if Vue, Mover 4, and Vue's Batch Render supported Apple Script.

The only way I've been able to batch different cameras within the same scene is to duplicate the scene, then set each camera angle, and finally batch the separate scenes. It just seems that it would be more efficient to add the camera as a setting in Batch.

It would also be nice if Vue supported splitting images for rendering across multiple computers, (especially through RenderCow).

oh yes it can but it's miserable. You have to save each camera as a new scene file.Or at least it was on 3.0. I gave up on it cause it was crashing my computer loading the scenes so fast between. Can't say I've even tried the one in Vue 4.11 cause it looks the same to me so I probibly would have the same problem with it. Ya sure it would works but my scenes sometimes are 1/2 a gig. Now you're on a mac so I don't know how it works there. Well as for your last line there go to tutorials up there on the FAQ spot look for my last one.. I've already figured out a work around and it has been suggested numerous times for Vue 5

Thanks Mighty Pete I'll take a look at your tutorial.

As for duplicating the scenes. I'm trying it with two large renderings right now. I think it will work ok. I just wish there was that added function to select cameras in the batch.

Thanks again.

another simple way: do an animation with the camera: First frame = first camera position second frame = second camera position etc etc. It's not exactly the same as defining different cameras, but i think there are other benefits. You are dealing with only one file so you could be sure that the (render and others) settings are always the same. And you even don't have to use the batch renderer at all. Walther

Do any of you find problems with the saved images from Batch Render at times. This morning my file was streaked from top to bottom. I started it again without the Batch Render program.

yeah, thats why i always try to live without the batch renderer. Too much difficulties/problems. And you never can be sure what will happen. Will the next file be loaded, are the render settings ok, etc etc. Thats why i prefer the method i have proposed earlier. Better control! Walther
