Well, I'm a young designer and I've been hanging around Renderosity and getting the magazine for awhile now. I mainly design sites, covers, flyers, etc. for free for the experience. I've never done much with logos but this is something I made for an imaginary company. Just wondering what you think. Be brutal if you must 8^)

great concept, and i would be brutal if i could, but there isnt much to be brutal about. keep working on this. wut i'd suggest, tho is just to check out Lunar Cell for the eclipsed moon. another obvious one, is just thats it;s a liiittle on the MASSIVE side.... so, very good idea, now u just gotta find someone to change their companies name 8-)

right now... your moon looks more like a shaded button off a shirt... but flaming pear DOES get this job done. but a logo.. is a logo... so this IS good. I personally think if this is your 1st attempt of making a logo, it is a very good one. I make 3-10 logos a month for companys here in jacksonville, fl. If you want to spruce up this logo just a touch... try lense flare... 105mm @ about 65%... put this over the 11 oclock angle of the moon. kinda like a star is Creeping over the horizon. dunno.. give it a shot. Anywho. Good job.

To answer your question (even though it isn't one), this IS my first attempt at an actual logo. With the lens flare, I hate them...but the public doesn't. I personally think that they are over used but I can see it working well in the image. Thanks for advice!

Your logo looks really good. I would suggest ajusting the kern (space between letters) around the second "N" in entertainment. The kerning is very tight throughout the word, except around the "N." That would help achieve a more polished look. I hope that helps a little.

Nice idea. I agree with the view on lens flares too, but I suggest you try something like Knoll Lensflare or the KPT one rather than the smae-old-same-old Photoshop one that everyone uses. Also, just add a small point. It doesnt have to blind people.
