OK after playing around with alot of clothes and stuff in poser i think i got a good hand on poser but there one thing i never did and now i cant figure it out. how do i move a figure around the area and not just move the camera. Cause i want to add some settings and backgrounds to my poser figure but her feet are in the floor and i want to lift her up. Thanks for your time and help.

You can move the entire figure by making sure that body part "body" is selected (see lower left corner of document window) and then use the x,y and z translation dials. You can also move her by translating the hip (select body part "hip") and use the same dials. If you use the hip, make sure that Inverse Kinematics is turned off, otherwise the feet will stay where they are when the hip is moved. You will find the IK settings in the menu Figure.

if your eyes are a bit sharp and you're not too zoomed into your figure, when you click any part of its body, you'll see a ring around it. if you have the "move" tool selected, you can just drag it around your scene like that :) again though, gotta make sure Inverse Kinematics is off like kelderek said

Doubble click on the figure and you get the property dials. Want to move the figure : select the hip and use XYZ dials

Also Dizzie, from the screen shot you posted, you do not have the figure selected. You have the main camera selected. If you select the body of the figure you should get the dials I think. Frank

You can also make the dials visible by selecting "Parameter Dials" in the Window menu. That works regardless of which body part is selected.

"ctrl + alt + N" also opens the parameter palette easily.
