Isn't it just funny? I was so excited about the possibility of ever entering this challenge, and now I'm dead. I find myself lacking ideas, and the ones that I presented to you seem impossible and far-fetched. LOL So, any pills that I can take, anyone with ideas on how that can be overcome?

I know just how you feel, I think I've started about 20 different projects and trashed 18.5 of those. Been here before though...It'll break...and when it rains, IT POURS! 16 days and counting. ;)

So drac - dont submit - that'll piss em off!

draculaz posted Fri, 14 February 2003 at 8:16 PM

I was thinking of that actually ;)

Drac, since the challenge is a concept thing, I have a suggestion, take four totaly unrelated things, objects , textures, old discarded images and just play around with them and try to create a whole cohesive image, 'not' related to the challenge, actually the opposite of the challenge...you may find while working on it ideas will come for your challenge image, just a thought...:) define and conquer...

I have found dreams to help. If you can't remember your dreams, well.......sorry man, that's the source for my inspiration!

Its all coming back to you now.... Modeling in Bryce sucks! well it takes forever anyway.... and limited!! nuthin you dont already know (but maybe forgot) Lol

You could just try to fiddle with some things. experiment a little with either a cool terrain or a texture or a slighting setup and it just might happen that something cool pops up in your mind. I've used that trick several times now and it always seems to work.

By the way, guys, if any of you think I am not going to come with something mind-blowing by the end of this week, you yourselves need some sleep :) Mihnea cheers!

EricofSD posted Sat, 15 February 2003 at 12:08 PM

When that happens I just do technical things and forget the artist block. Click buttons, try ideas, sometimes just RTFM to see if there's anything I can learn. Once in a while I have happy accidents. But the really neat thing is that when I come out of the block, I've got more tricks in my bag to use. Brycetech has some good tuts on the deeper portions of the terrain and material labs. Its always fun to play around with the octaves or filter fractal formulas.

Well DRac I Guess all this talk has put a flame under your ass - LETS CREATE :_

Try looking at these to help your creator's block 1. Modern Art sites. 2. Airbrush sites. 3. Sci fi artist sites. I had too many ideas for this challenge. Finally locked on to one. We will see what happens. I do admit reaching for Truespace like an amputee reaching for a missing limb but the feeling is going away.
