Does anyone know of a good step by step tutorial for dummies on building Poser clothing in Amapi? Or for that matter, a good online manual for V4.1? I've just started playing with it, and it has a lot of potential, but I'm flying blind. I've only found a couple of tutorials for basic stuff (I can build a bottle). The help file that came with it is pretty bad. Thanks in advance!

This link gives various options for obtaining version 5.1 for free. I agree with theigsl, 5.1 offers big improvements on version 4.thip posted Mon, 17 February 2003 at 3:48 AM
You might want to go to the Amapi Forum here on R'osity, go to archive, and make a search for "thip". If you have a look at the posts you'll find : o Amapi finger exercises - very basic, for anyone interested 1-4 o Amapi finger exercises - assist tools 1-3 o Amapi startup project 1 - 3 (jacket for Mike) o Conforming your Mike jacket 1-2 They use Amapi 4.15 and P4. All the tools used are in Amapi 5 and 6, too. If you can make it through all of them, you should be quite ready to make your own Mike clothing - at least that's what some of the nice people who've read them has said ;o) I'm trying to find the time to make some advanced tutes, too (seams, lapels/collars, belts, etc.), but I think you'll have enough to start with in the above tutes. Amapi is one hell of a tool, it's just badly under-PR'ed, IMHO.

Good luck with the tutes - and I see I don't have to bother doing advanced tutes, Brycetech is gearing up for online classes, no less : http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12399&Form.ShowMessage=1032692 You can find plenty of Brycetech's stuff here on R'osity - great quality, great skills.
