Hey there. I need a gun. I was looking for a colt 45 or something. I checked greylight and the wwII site but there is just glocks and walthers. I need a WWII american colt 45 or something ... Think The Shadow or something .. pure pulp stuff. Thanks

I do not remember seeing one, but I think what you want is a Colt Automatic model 1911. It was used from WWI thru Vietnam. I think to many a Colt 45 refers to a revolver, introduced by Sam Colt himself sometime around or just after the Civil War. It is one of the most famous handguns of the American West (The Great Equalizer).

try Greylight.com . There are a lot of Weapon props. Chris

There's a whole selection of weopons at 3d Cafe, and I'm fairly sure there's a Colt automatic there. Failing that, you could try Greylight as Chris suggests. Paul

I built a Colt Delta automatic in RDS a while back and converted it to poser. It holds up ok. If you'd like it, email me at ratta@ratta.com. --ratta

I posted a Walthers P88 here in the FS and at the Props guild fully UV mapped and textured. jje

jje ... Great gun but it is German. Wanted a gun to fight nazi's. Jaager. That is the one. As you can tell I am not really up on my gun stuff. I tried Greylight they didn't have the one I was looking for. Thanks ratta ... I would really appreciate it

I thought there was a Colt at the Props Guild, or maybe on a member site somewhere; I don't know guns well, but I'm fairly sure I've seen one somewhere.

I checked there and at Greylight and in free stuff before I asked ... If there is it isnt in the main site at props guild ... There is a nice ppk there but that is German and kinda shorter than I wanted. Might just end up using one of the German guns but I am doing an old pulp thing fighting Nazis ...

Oh well, I'll keep hunting for ya...

No one can find a Colt 45 Automatic? I'm astounded! ... Ok, just found this one on an old backup disk. Downloaded it two years ago, before I knew enough to keep track of the original sources and there's no readme in the zip. colt45thm.JPG Perhaps someone will recognize the thumb and point you to the site. If not, I can email. It's .3DS.

here's some other stuff I DL'd on the same night that looks like it came from the same site. Again, perhaps someone will recognize the source. Kinda looks like Greylight, but I can't get in there right now. thumb001.jpg

I was thinking the same thing... I just don't know enough about guns to say if a glock is close enought though with the reference shot WarloKK found I might be able to fudge it. I was thinking it would be an easy thing too but no luck. Don't recognize the site Nance.

Ghostofmacbeth posted Thu, 11 May 2000 at 8:32 PM

Found the site .. It is Bauments stuff. Thanks Nance

dutchman posted Thu, 11 May 2000 at 10:53 PM

Did you find the 45. If not I believe I have a couple models. dutchman.

Baument posted Fri, 12 May 2000 at 5:26 AM

http://www.baument.com Yea, those thumbs are some of our stuff. We've had a 45 on there for over a year. Hope it helps you out! Ed

Thanks Ed. Updated my records accordingly. Guess I'll need to take a stroll through your entire site again. Seems I've forgotten some of the great stuff you've got there!
