Hi All I have finally found a decent back-end system and hosting company to get a poser related website off the ground. It isn't going to be the usual Poser site, there's no downloads or forums. I'm going to be posting magazine style content for Poser, think PC Format/What HIFI for Poser. This is going to include articles, rants, reviews of products, such as models, characters, software, props, textures etc, interviews etc. While I am not the best artist around, I have several years experience in writing reviews for other mediums so I hope I can bring something interesting and informative to the Poser scene. I also have 12gb of Runtime to trawl through before I run out of things to review, so lots of content to write up about. However, I would like a writing team to assist, reviewing their own content, or adding alternative comments to the main reviews. If anybody fancies dabbling with a writing pen rather than a paintbrush, drop me a line. It's still early days, but I just wondered what people thought of such a site? Would you want to read reviews on products before purchase? Best wishes Jody jody.armstrong@ntlworld.com

Sounds like kind of a good idea. Sort of a what's new with poser site. A good starting place with news.

You might want to post this to the writers forum as well

I really like the idea. Don't know how you'd make money, unless you sold banners. But, I'd certainly visit the site.

may I ask why only catering to the PC platform ??

"PC Format/What HIFI " Jodi was referring to a couple web sites as similar examples, not catering to the PC platform. I can understand the confusion, though.

I didn't mean to imply you were out to make a buck. I was just thinking my own thoughts aloud. Sorry about that.

Hey no worries, I didn't mean it bad or anything, alas you can't imply inflections with written text. Sorry if I sounded like a git. Jody

No problem. I've worked in the paper magazine business most of my life and every time I hear an idea for editorial content, the first thing that hits me is, "what is the advertising base?" I forget that we sometimes do these things for fun. :-)

Good luck with it. Sounds like a great idea.
