Hi all, I am looking for a nightgown that looks like this....it Does not have to be a freebee, or even textured, I just want it to fit Vicky, if possible, and with long sleeves. Thank you. (: Genny

dialyn posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 11:18 AM

Oh, I love that nightgown. That's like the ones my mother used to make me. Snuggly. But she always included a ruffle around the bottom. Just because. :)

genny posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 11:26 AM

(smiles) Yes, I remember those too, when I was a kid, no ruffles on the bottom, but "snuffly" none the less. (: Genny

genny posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 11:27 AM

LOL! I meant snuggly. (: Genny

dialyn posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 11:29 AM

Definitely snuggly. Because my legs got cold, my mother always made matching pajama bottoms so I could have my ruffly nightgown and keep cozy too. :) If you find the nightgown, let me know. I'd love to have one too.

genny posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 11:34 AM

I sure will, Dialyn.......I just hope someone has one available, somewhere? (: Genny

Hey genny, why don't you post this also to the MarketPlace Wishing Well Forum :) Great place to hook-up with modelers :) ladynimue

This is what I was looking for the milgirls for xmas-- no luck. Maybe someone will see at least three sales here. It would look sooo good on the mil girls and Vicki. Someon can always do a lace add-on if they want it sexy-- but flannel is the way to go. Emily

steveshanks posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 1:03 PM

Genny do you have a bigger image i have GOT to do this ;o).....Steve

dialyn posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 1:09 PM

Oh, our knight in flannel rescues us again. :) Go, Genny!

dragongirl posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 1:26 PM

Oh, this would be wonderful for the MillGirls!!

catlin_mc posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 1:29 PM

Memories of childhood surrounded in flannel, my mother made me one a couple of years ago and I'm now 42. Always said she sees me as a two year old. :)

genny posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 1:44 PM

Hi Steve, and everyone else, I don't have a better picture, because, I had to search the web to find this one, and I had to go back to the days, when I used to "sew" and look for patterns. Since, I don't have the time to go to book stores, I don't have the time to sew, anymore.........I just went to the next best thing, and that is.............a search on Yahoo! (: Regardless.....I would love to have a "nightgown" like this, (: Genny

steveshanks posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 1:59 PM

Its ok i think i can get it from that pic ;o)...if need be i'll check with my mother ;o)....i think i'll have to pull the yoke ruffle in a bit coz of the shldrs on the mil folks but not to much......just one concern though, the things that inspire me LOL.....Steve

genny posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 2:01 PM

Oh, I guess, I should say, I did my search, for "patterns" for Sewing, as in Simplicity, and McCalls. (: Thank you all for your replys, it is very nice to know, that I am not the only one, who would like to create an image, with Vicky, in a nightgown, not Naked. OK, she can be in a temple, I just want her to be "decent"! (: Genny

genny posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 2:12 PM

To Ladynimue....... I didn't post this at the "wish forum" because I really thought that there would be something that I wanted, already available. (: I don't have as much time as I would like to "peruse" all the sites that cater to Poser........so I just thought, maybe, someone already Knew of something like this. (: Thanks for the info, and if nothing comes from this post, I will definately go there. (: Genny

Look at Jim Burtons Romantic Nights at Daz. There's a poets shirt in there that has long sleeves. The poets shirt is the reason I bought the package. :)

Patricia posted Thu, 20 February 2003 at 2:48 PM

And another sale from me---I'd love to do a 'just woke up' pic with the MilGirls and the DAZ teddy bear :) My mum made me a whole succession of these over the years. They are responsible for my survival of those below 0 degree Pennsylvania winter nights. To stretch the budget, we turned the thermostat in the house down to just high enough to keep the pipes from freezing in our 100 yr. old house at night...brrrrrrr!

Wow! Not only are you good, you're quick, too. Was the fiber-optics doo-hickey on the table in the original prop for the bed? I have it, I just haven't used it yet. If not, where can I get it?

genny posted Fri, 21 February 2003 at 12:54 PM

Duh.......I work nights and sometimes my brain doesn't work right.........I forgot to say, a very special "Thank You" for making this. (: Genny

KateTheShrew posted Fri, 21 February 2003 at 1:01 PM

Hey folks, I still sew, so if you need the pictures from the front of the pattern envelope or even images of the pattern pieces themselves, check with me. If I don't have it, I can likely get it reasonably quickly. Save y'all a lot of hassles looking for stuff. And yes, I have a pattern for this type of nightie/Robe. Kate

I got the free version Steve, thank you very much. I've got a problem though, if you will be making a nightie for Vicky I won't be able to get it at Poserworld. Just tried to join Poserworld but can't because they won't accept my UK debit card. What a bummer eh! :( Catlin

Good grief pigfish that was fast and they look so good. Is there a secret adrenalin store here that modellers and texture makers can dip into......... :)

steveshanks posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 6:31 AM

No need to be sorry :o)....I'm just over the border 40 miles from Berwick and 30 from Newcastle, the site and everything is in Georgia but thats a long story LOL...Steve

pigfish posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 8:05 AM

I'd love to make the texture available. Let me try Big-I.com again. Give me a bit. At least I'm enjoying my first snow day off in almost 13 years as a Federal employee. (I knew that crummy white stuff I moved south to avoid was good for something.) I'll let you know when they are ready. ...as to adrenalin, my all night energy comes from insomnia due to clinical depression. Meds help, but I'll be glad when Spring gets here.

catlin_mc posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 1:12 PM

Yes I know what you mean. The winter months are a sad S.A.D. time for lots of us.

dialyn posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 1:17 PM

Possibly because I live in a semi-arid region that gets very hot and miserable in the summer time, I LOVE the winter. I love having the rare rainstorm. I enjoy the cooler weather. But, of course, we have so little winter than it makes it more precious to me than to those of you who have to suffer long weeks with it. But I still love those cozy flannel nightgowns. Good job on the textures too. I hope there will be a version for the adult nightgowns when they come out. Us old folk need pretty patterns too.

catlin_mc posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 1:42 PM

dialyn that's why they made those soft, cosy, flannels in the first place to stop us freezing northerners from getting depressed.........down with prozac up with flannels. :)

dialyn posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 1:46 PM

I thought they made them because they make a cozy place for cats to curl up. ;) That's what my kitties always told me.

catlin_mc posted Tue, 25 February 2003 at 2:03 PM

That too..............

Oh, I can't tell you how pleased I am with the response to my request for this nightgown! (: Silly, as this may sound.........I really thought that I was the only one who would ever want something like this for their poser models. (: Thank you again, Steve, you are the "Greatest"! I have told you before, but I am going to say it again.............HOW can you "stand" yourself.........you are just toooooooo good!!!! To all of you who have created "textures" for the nightgown, a special thanks........I am just so glad that I was not the only one who wanted something like this. (: Take care all, and thanks again.
