Hi Ok what I want to do is put my dragon into bryce5 so I can use the landscapes etc, but in converting from poser I found a problem with the dragons textures and settings. how do i make the bumpmap effects work like i want ie a dragon has scales but in the bryce image (the one with sky ) he just seems to have flat skin. I would apreciate any help suggestions or advice that anyone wishes to offer. (pics below) Dave

the textures are different about the head but I was trying to get the main head (around the eyes darker tex)right first.

Bump, Trans, and Reflection, maps do not automatically load with the Poser like the color map does. They have to be imported manually, in the material lab ( picture editor ).

Hi I have imported the bump maps (jpg) and what trns maps that are needed the bump height is at 100% and the 2 top 2 colour setting are (ambient +? sorry at work at moment) complementary (add up to 100% 50%each) and specularity is 0% or only just above. hope this helps Dave

Did you copy and paste the bump map to the middle widow in the picture editor? ( just checking ) A texture window in Materials lab uses the left window for Color, the middle window for Alpha, and the right window for Bump. If the map is not put in the middle window in the picture editor, there will be no Alpha or Bump for the texture window.
