Then the best thing I can suggest is to sign this petition for the improvement of the p5 walk designer! Oh right the url.... http://www.petitiononline.com/wlkdsgnr/petition.html

I doubt that a petition will hasten the process, but what the heck .... I'm still trying to figure out the P4 Walk Designer, myself. Sometimes I achieve good results, sometimes I don't. I did manage to make Walk Designer work with some of the animals, however.

I got good results with it in this animation, for the few clips of the girl running. My major complaint with it is what it does with the feet - there should be some type of collision detection on them and the floor. Hmm, actually...now that I think of it...P5 has collision detection. i'm with Little Dragon, it's hit and miss. The animation is just under 3MB, btw.kkndmaster posted Fri, 21 February 2003 at 7:20 PM
No come on! You can make a change in what happens, but what needs to happen is that whoever sees the petition has to get rid of their "oh I'm just one signature, I won't was my time signing it because it won't speed up things" mentality or else who knows, there might be dozens or more signatures missing and that will be that. I believe that if CL saw that petition with about 1000 sigs, they might think twice about not doing something to walk designer.

Oh, I'll definitely sign it. Never said I wouldn't :) I do have to wonder if CL, at this point, cares. The core team is gone, and what's left are the accountants it seems. But I do agree it needs work.

I don't think there's anyone left at CL to read your petition. Why don't you send it to Daz instead?

Dont waste your time :-) The walk designer is NOT going to be "fixed" But do youself a BIG Favor and DONT use those silly walk paths I never have problem with walk designer and properly IK'd poser figures see post #53 in the attached threadPabloS posted Sat, 22 February 2003 at 8:58 AM
If a million pleas didn't work in this forum, which they regularly read, then a petition is senseless. I'm not saying they ignored them, they just had/have other priorities.

"But do youself a BIG Favor and DONT use those silly walk paths" I try to avoid them myself ... but getting someone to walk on a curved path is a HUGE pain in the butt without them. -Tim
