When a product is updated with fixes and/or new features, do you prefer new files and folders be created; or do you prefer old files and folders be overwritten? All opinions welcome. The more the better. Beth

overwriting is the way to go for me, takes up less room & you end up with just the one copy.

Well, I move things around a lot and rename things so it doesn't matter to me either way :)

The problum would only be for people who move folders around and rename stuff so you might add in the read me what is replaceing what. For people who have P5 and pboost.

Thanks for the opinions so far. It looks as though there is a majority opinion among those who have expressed one. Beth

I would have much perfered Poser 5 to have overwritten my Poser 4 Pro Pack in the beginning so that all my library content was integrated into the program. This would have saved a lot of disc space and elliminated duplicate models. That having been said, however, since a lot of the python scripts I bought won't work in P5, (the walk designer is broken and there may be compatibility issues with Vue 4) I'm glad that it didn't work like that. I'm still using P4 for a lot and have been mostly been only using P5 for the Firefly Rendering Engine. Any P5 updates that come out offering new features, etc. I would perfer to overwrite existing files.

I don't care wether they overwrite or not, as I move stuff aorund myself. But a complete list of what changed would be dandy :)
