Subject: Re Distant Hills and Mountains

Can anyone help with a tutorial or advice on how to do realistic distant hills and mountains? I have a large open ground plain and a sky with an horizon and I want to put them (the hills and mountains) on the horizon.Every time I try to import a terrain and put it on the horizon it doesn't seem to work properly.Any help would be appreciated.arrow1

Normally that's easy. Just crate your terrain, put it at the horizon and resize it. Than play with fog and haze. Can you post a small render of what you get and explain what it wrong for you? Guitta

Don't use symetrical terrains for that, use normal terrain. Push it back as far as possible to the horizon line and then resize it to make it very big. Play with less or more haze and fog to make it less or more visible.

The image is just a sample, you can much more play around with size, mapping...
