I'd like to see a forum for freestuff feedback. Good and bad. I'd like to publicly thank some artists for awesome free items and I'd like to voice my opinion on free links that lead to NOTHING (example there is one up today that just keeps leading to their RR Artist page)..

good point.....something like the system used at 3d Commune, where members can leave comments regarding free items

Not that I'm aware of zippy. But they are revamping freestuff, perhaps it's in the process of being implemented :)

Free Stuff Area: Items should be labeled: For Personal Use Only For Commercial or Non Commercial Use I usually glance at items and it's confusing because we pick up the word commercial at both ends and you have to go back and reread to make sure which item is commercial and which ones are NOT commercial. In this way, when anyone glances and "sees" the word commercial, they don't have to wonder if it is commercial or not commercial. It's either FREE or it's NOT. I do not consider "personal use items" as free items - they are more like restrictive use items. Imagine if you got a free car... but you can only drive it in the driveway... how free is that?

Not quite the same, since a number of us are not commercially creating graphics and are using items for our personal use. When I test drive a car, I have its use for free but that doesn't mean I get to use it to take a vacation. If it is confusing which is available for commericial use and which not, it certainly would be good to have clarification on that. I also get frustrated at freebies that lead to a page and it isn't obvious where the freebie is located at on the site. I give up if it is layered too deep onto the website, but I wonder if that isn't done to discourage mass downloadings that have caused so many problems for some sites. It would be nice to have a feedback area, though. Some (not all) of the people who are creating items are "testing" whether or not their products would be eventually of interest to someone who is a potential buyer, and that feedback would help them improve their product. Only problem is that there is a certain number of the community that would use it to take potshots for the sake of being nasty.

How about allowing user comments and voting on each "Free Stuff" item? That would be consistent with allowing comments and voting on an artist's uploaded inage(s).
