What Kind of a screenshot? It's easy. In Vue click OBJECTS from the top menu Select IMPORT OBJECT from the scroll down list Search your Pz3 file and click OK. That's all. Guitta

I'm just installing Vue now, I see I needed to actually have a "New..." file loaded into the workspace, thanks gebe! But now that I have a loaded document, when Objects>Imports Objects becomes visisble, selecting it displays a screen informing me that an installation of Poser 4 is required. But the dialog that then asks me to browse to my Poser 4.exe wo'nt accept my Poser 5.exe. Then cancelling out of this window causes a Import Error message and the .pz3 goes unloaded. = )

  1. Poser has to be closed before you import a Pz3, otherwise you always will get an error message:-) (ITS WRITTEN IN OUR FAQ) 2. Vue will ask you to locate poser.exe file. Locate it. This will only happen once. This should work now for you. Make sure you have Vue 4.12 installed, if not, update, because some prvious versions of Vue could not read Bums and transparencies of Poser files. If you use a PC, the above is true. If you use a Mac, you may come back later with other questions, but the 4.12 update is necessary in both cases. Hope this helps:-) Guitta

but be aware that Vue can not import Poser 5 specific things - like dynamic hair etc!

Is the update absolutely nessecary? = )

gebe posted Wed, 26 February 2003 at 5:20 PM

Yes!!! Absolutely, if you want to work with poser 4 figures. Previous versions of Vue 4 (Vue 4.02, 06 etc) could not import properly:-))

I thought the problem of having Poser and Vue open simultaneously was a thing of the past with Vue 4.1. I leave Poser 4 and Vue open at the same time frequently when I import Poser files into Vue and don't get that error message anymore. It used to ask to locate the poser.exe file.

Poser 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Pro 2014, 11, 11 Pro

No Spike, gebe and I already found that link. What I needed was for gebe's saying "Click on the "Click Here To Get The Update" link" to make more sense than just using the Great Big "Download", hotlinked, image, right next to it! The "Download Button" brings me back to thier first download page! This is the source of confusion, I'm sorry if I've put things past anyone. It actually a prety confusing setup, e-on is using. They should definately improve this HTML page. As far as Warez are concerned, I hav'nt mentioned them here at all! This is plainly evident throughout this post and any other message I've posted on this site! I will say I ca'nt appreciate anyone equating technical questions with them though. This is all far to personal for my taste, thanks. I'll be happy to entertain any questions anyone has about my wares, just as soon as somebody can tell of what led them there. = )

how do i import poser animations in to vue? how can i use the mover 4?I am trying to get a poser figure to walk in one of my vue scenes and i am clueless please e mail me with the answer!!

gebe posted Tue, 04 March 2003 at 8:12 AM

With Mover 4 you have a small user guide and a tutorial. Just follow it. Poser animations are just imported as Pz3. You do your animation in Poser first, then import it. Guitta
