i would like to either find some "biomechanical" attachments such as tubes (poseable) to add to imported poser figures or objects or a tutorial that explains the basic steps on creating some i use Poser 4, Bryce 5, and 3DSMax 4.2

Welp, can't make those in bryce. Atleast not in a way you could pose or export. Try the 3dstudio max forum.

You could draw a simple curve in your favourite 3D-app and extrude it. If you want it to be posable in bryce, you should place a lot of cilinders in a row and parent them to each other and set the origin handle to the bottom of each cilinder. That way you can rotate each cilinder and all the other cilinders parented to is will move along. But it's easier to use a program that has normal animation features, like bones.

I saw a set of primitives, tubes, bends, etc., at this site. Now whether they were Bryce or not, I seem to remember they were, but not sure. There was an Android head in Freestuff about 6 months back, but not sure who made it. I think Dreampaint has some Xfrog-type stuff that might be modified, but not sure if that's what you want. 3ds max should be able to make anything you need, as long as you export it in something other than .max..;) .lwo, .3ds .dxf, ya know the routine.. hope this helps
