In all my years of using Bryce I have never been able to see a difference in the smoothness of an object after using the smooth feature of "Edit Mesh" more than one time. The first time I "click" the smoothness icon I see a difference, but I do not see an improvement in smoothness with multiple "clicks". The manual says that the more you hit the smmothness icon, the smoother the object gets. What am I doing wrong? Thanks; Paul

Yup that's what it says in the book. However I've only ever known the scale setting to determine the value of smoothness. Set the amount and click on the ball on the left. Unsmoothing by clicking on the ball on the right side. Just tested it right now and no difference. HMMM Anyone else?

Same here. :) I also never understand so well this thing: one click smooths ok, but the second (even increasing the angle) does nothing special. Anyoneotherelse? :-) Stefano

The manual is wrong. :) as in many places. Get Real World Bryce 4 and it explains a lot that is supposed to work in the manual but may actually work differently or not at all.
