I just bought Poser 5 and got it today. I am having a hard time getting started because I am very new to the world of CG. Are there any good basic Poser tutorials out there for version 5? Well, and good tutorials at all? Thanks for the help.

Most of the tutorials for Poser 4 will also apply to Poser 5, as far as basic operations (using the Library, posing, using MAT files, installing new content) are concerned. Ron Knight's website is a good place for beginners to start.

I only have P4 but I have seen many detailed P5 tutorials. Also check some of the links in the Web Ring (lower right of this page) and check the Tutorials link at the top. I bleive PhilC and Bloodsong has a P5 tutorial or two? Also search the forum for "Poser 5", there has been a few cloth and material threads posted with some good detailed info.

Please make use of this valuable resource! Look back far into the messages here, and you will learn so much information! There are many gems buried in these messages. Search for Geep's tutorials as well as particular words that describe what you're working on at the time. After you've read for a while, you'll have learned much!

My best advice is to make sure you have both of the service releases available at Curious Labs website. The program is much more stable and less "buggy" after you install these.
