Mac gamma at link above. 1 Terrain (from a Distance Render of Vic 3), 1 Plane, 1 Sphere, 1 2D Face, 2 Bryce Trees, 3 Ranged Omni Lights, 3 Ranged Spotlights, 12 Tori, 14 Cylinders, 23 cubes, and 228 Metaballs (the 4 aliens). All textures are Bryce procedurals. Rendered at 64RPP/Soft Shadows on a 500MHz G3 Mac. Render time:7 hours, 22 minutes. No post work except PC gamma correction.

just one question... why is that little alien in the foreground flipping the bird to GroinGrinder? ;) great concept, awesome work with the metaballs, and great use of terrains to create faces.

Very nice job on the aliens. Also, strangely nice render of the bryce palm trees (colors and detail came out nicely.) Only thing is that the face is sort of stretching the boundaries of the contest =P but it's not that big a deal.

First off, thanks for all the comments - they are appreciated! And many thanks to Ornlu (and others) for pointing out that I misinterperted the rules - to be sure all objects are Bryce - but the head is also based on a Poser GTH and the "No Poser, 3DS, Lightwave, etc." should probably apply. Sorry 'bout that! Draculaz - looks like I lot of people saw the front dude "whipping the bird" to them. I just saw it as pointing up but now all I can see is the "finger" :-) Best to all; Dan

The aliens have attitude. Could interpret the gesture to mean "Be fruitful and multiply" or "We are no 1".
