Subject: Need help with potential freebie prop

I created a drum in Anim8or, actually it is a two part prop, drum and drum stick and I have successfully imported it into Poser and textured it. Here's my problem...I still have to mess with the scale, positioning etc. to get it into a figure's hand. What would be the best way to handle this - just leave it for the individual person to fiddle with, or can I get it so that when they open up their "Props" library and apply the item, it is the right size and about where it needs to be with only a little fiddling? Should I make it a prop or a figure? Help!

I say make it a prop :o) But that's mainly becourse it's the easiest. Well also becourse I always forget about props that are hiding in the character folder... Anyway, as soon as you have it inside Poser, not what scale you needed to make it look right, then delete your prop and import it once more using the scale you just found out was the right one. This way the prop will be in Poser with a 100% scale applied. Then you can either make it a smart prop, where you parent it to a character's hand(s) or just leave it as it is, so people can parent it themselves. It is a nice thing to make it a smart prop, but it is not absolutely necessary. Oh and btw, the drum looks really good :o) I'm looking foreward to seeing it in Free Stuff :o)

Nice drum JBroneske . Looks like one of the ones I make in real life . I would say leave it as a plain prop myself but alot of people have problum with placement. I have a couple of designs that will work well for a couple of textures for it .

Nice, the design looks southwest, maybe Navaho. A prop would work for me.

That would be my guess to Niles , Looks like a pueblo sun symbol to me.

It's a Hopi sun-face design.

I'd set up the Runtime so it splits into two props in the same file, both of them smart-propped to go to the character's hands automatically, then maybe add a hand pose.

Yes, it is a hopi sun-face design. JoeyAristophanes, how would I do that? I'm pretty new to all of this and I'm not always sure how to do some of the "tricks". Thanks Joan
