My most used V3 body type morphs are 'pearfigure' and 'rubenesque'
It's very difficult to spend quite some time working with these controls to create a character only to find there is nothing that actually works with these body types.
The items at DAZ are for heroic or ideal figure types - they are lovely - but just not generically useful. That's the why of this post.
Would it be possible for clothes to be designed with these body type morphs in mind?
Are there others who have a similar wish (otherwise the knowledge is not useful)
or, for the designers, is there a difficulty the knowledge of which could be shared?
Many thanks,

When I use Vicky 2, with clothes that dont' have the same morhps, I then go and use "The tailor". it's a program that will put morhps into a clothing object that fits the character being used. It takes a little work, but once the hard part is over (getting your figure set up for tailor) just load up the figure, clothing object, and let the tailor rip. It usually does a great job. I have yet to use it with vicky 3, but don't see why it wouldn't work in there either. Anyone else?

I'm a rubenesque, pear-figure and heavy user (hmm...not sure I want to say that, exactly!). I'd like to see things designed for those body shapes - which, as any rubenesque user will tell you does not necessarily mean clothes for pinups sized up! There's a rubenesque dress at PoserWorld - thanks Steve! - but that's the only item of clothing I've seen specifically designed for the more voluptuous (and there's another morph I use a lot) Vicki. I'd like some loose-fitting clothing - both fantasy and everyday type wear - just one larger long/short morphable smock/caftan/robe type thing would be great - especially if it could be used closed or open down the front. I'm sure there's something out there like this that could be Tailored to fit, but I just haven't found it yet! (or got The Tailor, come to that...)

I used tailor with V3 for the first time last night and it worked like a charm for me.

I appreciate the information regarding Tailor - but this wasn't a 'what other product' thread so much as a morph request for V3 clothes. 'Pearfigure' and 'rubenesque' don't mean unsightly or ugly - as morphs they provide certain fullness or luscious-ness that's as much a 'vision' as a body type. A flow of lines. Also, it's not necessarily - the 'common' slice of life character. But can be as artful as any other. Clothing designed for these body types - with the flexibility of the morph - will have a gracefullness unique to these types just as 'glamourous, thin, Milan-ish clothes have a grace specific to charcters of that type. Thanks again, though.

Maybe you clothes designers should take a poll of the most commonly used FBMs and incorporate the top five or ten into your clothing. It looks like the Japanese designers are "standardizing" on TenTen for their clothing base.

Phil - I was wondering as well - if such a poll (which was one of my goals with this thread) might help - what morphs are most used. Then the designers could work toward that or with that in mind? Also - I am more than willing to hide certain body parts to get certain full coverage clothes to work. Those clothing items just need a look of fullness - that would be proportional to the overall look of the pear shaped or rubenesque character. That work around, of course, wouldn't be appropriate with minimum coverage clothing such as the lingerie you've posted an example of here (thank-you!) And thank-you for your wonderful work. It has been most helpful that designers actually post the morphs included with their packages. Couldn't it be just as helpful for the purchaser to be able to design characters for certain body-type morphs that may come standard in many conforming clothing packages? I'd love to see conforming body type morphs for clothing such as The Versatile Gown package, Greek classics packages - etc. As for fantasy - I'm thrilled the mermaid tail, for example, is conforming to larger and softer body types. It adds a new level of artistic approach and expands the geography of vision. Regards,

OH I would love to see something soft and flowing like a caftan that didnt look like a potato sack! one that could open and flow and move. I am very fond of middle easter things in life{please no hate mail it is possible to appreciate art forms and such with out being sympathetic to some cause} but cant seem to get that into my art {I am not yet a modeler per se} as all I seem to find are belly dancer costumes {the veils are not what I need I need something more on the line of bedouin burqua } I have used in the past hooded robes and a modified belly dancers veils to try to get the effect. I would love to see something flowing for a fuller figure!! FREE the FULL FIGURE!!! :)

I use emaciated and young body morphs - to create very fairies and young people with a very slight build - with V3
Dragontales posted Tue, 04 March 2003 at 12:45 PM
I tend to use the morphs that build up body muscle. I don't like overly muscular women, but fit and trim is great. Morhps like calf bulge, thigh full, etc are usually used.

This is where taylor comes in. I've been adding FBM's to V2/3 clothes cr2 as I need them. Since there is no real way to figure out what mt's are needed ( I tend to use a little of this one, and a little of that one) Don't mean to sound like an add for the application, but it's really the only way past 14 tons of magnets to shape clothes to fit the custom bodies you or anyone else may come up with.

Tailor sounds like a very useful tool, by all reports. Is anyone working on a Mac OS X version of it, or on anything with the same capabilities for Mac users?
