Hello all, I have an issue with Bryce I can't figure out how to resolve. When I create a terrain (a mountain), the landscape is not solid. The underside and edges are not closed. (I wish I had an image here to show you what I mean.)but basically, lets say from a side view, my mountain (or terrain) looked like this: ~ The right hand side, would be showing the bottom of the mess, from a side view. Then, when I enlarge my whole mesh, the opening on the side just gets bigger as well. When the image is rendered, my mountain looks horrible. I use Vue as well, and the terrain generated from it does not have this issue. Could anyone explain to me what I am doing wrong or what I can do to resolve this issue? Thank you, --Eryk

Eryk more than likely your problem can be solved with one click in the terain editor if you are using bryce 5 click the arrow pointing down in the upper right hand corner of the editing window and select solid. If you are using 4 then the arrow will be to the lower left of that window, do the same thing. I am not totaly sure if this is what you are looking for but its something that may help. You are entirely correct DarkndSoul that's how you do it. 8) Cat

Another method i use and it may be better for you is to just draw black using the built in terrain drawing tool around the edges. This will force the terrain to reach the ground at the edges and you wont see any gaps when the mountain is put onto a ground plane. Hope this helps as well :)

Don't forget about the edges tools in the texture editor and that you can also use the elevation cropping bracket. Just two more options available.
