that should be daz.com

dialyn posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 3:17 PM

I had not seen that. Thank you for pointed that out. There are so very few clothes (so far) for V3 that any additions are great. I wish the blouse had sleeves (greedy, greedy) but I really like the pants. Thanks!!!

Crescent posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 3:22 PM

It would also be nice to see clothes that cover the abdomen. Not everyone dresses like a teenager. I like the pants, though. Thankfully, the pants aren't low-cut hip huggers. I'm not meaning to sound grouchy, but more real world, adult (business world, not S&M or X-rated) clothes would be nice.

dialyn posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 3:23 PM

Oh, yes, Crescent, that would be nice.

Gazukull posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 3:32 PM

I would like to add that the Platinum Club is paying off, so says me. Also... anyone wondering what the renewal fee is going to be? Cuz I am definately going to renew when it is up. - Gazzy!

When you sign on, it will tell you how many days until your subscription ends. Yes, I do love the Plat Club - make no mistake about that - and I do appreciate these clothes being in the Plat Club. It doesn't mean I can't whine anyway about the preponderance of skimpy, teeny-bopper outfits. ;-)

SnowSultan posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 3:47 PM

Thanks for letting us know about this, I was just at DAZ this morning and didn't see them. It's great to see V3 clothes (with morphs too, wow!) for such a reasonable price...teeny-bopper or not. ;) SnowS

I do not speak as a representative of DAZ, I speak only as a long-time member here. Be nice (and quit lying about DAZ) and I'll be nice too.

Ayone notice the little chihuahua they showed with it-- not a toonamal. Probably a 2d figure slapped in. But I want it!! And the outfit is killer. I particularly like the new ninja stuff for Mike-- it's got all of Mike 2's morphs in it so they work for Massive Mike too.Yea. The Platinum Club rocks. Emily

milamber42 posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 6:04 PM

Maybe one of these days DAZ will release a Clothing Pack for V3 ;-)

Silverleif-Studios posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 6:06 PM

Chihuahua isnt a 2d thing slapped in queri :)~ he's a model, he just isnt quite finished yet ;)

queri posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 6:13 PM

SS-- you Made My Day!!! Chihooeyhoouies rule. Literally, Little monsters.:)) Emily

dialyn posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 6:13 PM

Oh, no, something else to collect...Daz dogs! and yet the elusive cat remains to be seen. Hmmm?

joffry posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 6:46 PM

Oh!! ok, need one (chihuah) that looks like my 5 month old Lily,, she looks like a cross between a bat and a raccoon...

sandoppe posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 7:18 PM

I'm with Crescent and Dialyn once again on this one! I did buy the outfit (twas cheap at platinum rates), but would also like to see tops that covered all. Pants are nice. I had a pair of bellbottoms, many moons ago, that looked exactly like that:)

sandoppe posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 7:21 PM

Oooh I just noticed Silverlief-studios comment about the pooch! I was noticing him as well and wondering the same thing queri was! I'll be looking for that one.....and for the elusive "real world" cat!! :)

Photopium posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 8:33 PM

Anyone else think that a Dog and Cat could be both run on the same geometry? Call it the Millenium Pet, make it high Polygons, make the base obj kind of maleable, something in between, perhaps, and then have morphs for Dog, Cat along with scaling poses for all sorts of breeds/types. Probably not done this way, I'd wager, but I bet it would work if they did. -WTB

sandoppe posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 8:52 PM

Sounds good to me WTB, but I don't know a whit about modeling, so I don't know if it would work or not...but it sure sounds good! :)

LaurieA posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 10:59 PM

Hell, I wanna know where the dog came from! LOL. Looks like the Taco Bell pup ;o). Very nice set BTW. Laurie

sandoppe posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 11:05 PM

I think the pooch is a model being created by Silverlief Studio...I think they said it wasn't quite finished yet Laurie.

LaurieA posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 11:06 PM

I'll be watching ;o). Laurie

dragongirl posted Thu, 06 March 2003 at 11:16 PM

Oh, I just saw it - thanks for the heads up. What a cute little dog! With all that capsces did with the P4 cat - and now with Toonimal Kitty - I think a Millennium Pet should be possible. (but - non-modeler speaking! LOL!) -dg

Taura Noxx posted Fri, 07 March 2003 at 1:44 AM

curious, does anyone know what kind of mapping is that on the pants? And or what program can map like that? from someone who sucks at mapping

miraty posted Fri, 07 March 2003 at 11:09 AM

ohhh I luv that poochie... *head turns to stare at some tiny chihuahua now sleeping quietly on her bed I wonder when will that chihuahua be out :)

Crescent posted Fri, 07 March 2003 at 11:20 AM

The mapping is either due to a very good template and some patience, or it was done with a commercial product like Body Paint 3D or Deep Paint 3D - very nice, but not cheap, programs.

Silverleif-Studios posted Sat, 08 March 2003 at 12:25 AM

The texture requires no patience, just a simple flood fill will do, the mapping was done with a combination of high end programs and planning ahead...I began mapping the pants when they were still a half figure, ie only one leg... As for the dog, working on it this weekend I hope...I want him to be perfect before putting him out there for you guys...Capsces has already agreed to morph him into lots of other things...who knows maybe she can drag a cat out of him :)

sandoppe posted Sat, 08 March 2003 at 1:26 AM

I'd just about die for a cat! If there's a cat in that little mutt, drag him out here! :)

Photopium posted Sat, 08 March 2003 at 2:14 AM

DAZ seems to be ignoring the calls from the masses for a good cat. Odd, really. -WTB

MachineClaw posted Sat, 08 March 2003 at 2:19 AM

Anton is working on a cat, it's coming. He said awhile ago that there is a lot on the plate, and he tooks a lot of ref materials to make his cat, though he did say that it was guna be a short hair not a long hair, dunno if that has changed, though the brycetech fur could fix that quickly. the little yipper looks cute, and the clothes too.

queri posted Sat, 08 March 2003 at 10:08 PM

I'm thrilled as can be about the Chi-- I have one pure bred and one pekehua. Lord, that's right a chihuahua with long pekinese hair. I'll have to get the old tablet out to do his hair. Orange, and he flounces around like Bette Davis in All About Eve. Emily

sandoppe posted Sat, 08 March 2003 at 10:38 PM

That dog of yours sounds too cute for words :) A chihauahua with long orange hair! :) You should post a picture of him Emily!
