Well usualy a transmap can be applied from Material properties window, if you have the transmap, it ussually comes in JPG, BMP, or TIFF format
Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

The associated .mtl (material) file created during export doesn't include transmap information. You'll have to apply the transmap manually from within Max.

Can you me explain how I do that Litlle Dragon I have Max 5.1

I'm sorry; I don't have Max. Too expensive for my blood.
Someone in the Max forum might be able to explain how to set up materials.
